About Amanah
Amanah is an Islamic daily companion for iPhone, a Muslim app for everyday life. It brings prayers, Qur’an, habits, goals and finances together in one place.
The person behind Amanah
Amanah and AmanahKids are apps by Denis Rastoder from Ernetschwil, Switzerland. In his own words (in German), this is what drives him:
Deen and Dunya in harmony
English translation (by the Amanah website):
“I want to show how everyday life and faith can be connected with each other.
Amanah helps you put goals and habits into practice, organise appointments and priorities, and remember in daily life what really matters. Prayer, dhikr and good habits should not just be tasks; they should become part of our lives.
Because Deen and Dunya belong together: living mindfully, taking responsibility, acting on our faith and moving forward step by step.”
Deen: faith and lived religion. Dunya: this worldly life, everyday life. Dhikr: remembrance of Allah.
The idea
According to the App Store, Amanah brings prayers, Qur’an, dhikr, habits, goals and finances together in one app.
The name sets the direction. What is entrusted to you calls for responsibility: your faith, your body, your time, your wealth and your abilities.
The attitude
This website does not give religious rulings. Religious questions belong with scholars, not with an app or a website.
Amanah shows no ads. How the app is structured and what it can do is described on the page The Amanah app, with screenshots from the real app.
